MDF, mirrors, metronome

Extrait from the catalog text for Lyon Biennale, Rendez-Vous, Jeune Creation Internationale:
…For Rendez-vous 15, Sayin invites spectators to experiment with the notion of passing time. To do this, she positions two horizontal mirrors on the ground at a 6° angle. Placed between them is a metronome, set to 60 beats per minute. The artist thus devises a correlation between a fragment of space and a fragment of time. Facing the work, the spectator can glimpse sixty metronomes in the reflections of the mirrors – a virtual and poetic clock that indicates a subjective “here and now”.
