The work was a part of my solo show 'Deal-Breaker', at DEPO, Istanbul. 'It Is Still Light Outside' is a re-constructed version of the former window that used to exist in the exhibition space, but has been closed. The work re-includes the light that came from the closed windows of DEPO to the space. The sense of direction also appears as an integral part of the illusion, because this specific window form is installed on a different wall and not at its original spot. The installation that points out beyond the wall, makes us confront with our reflection and approaches the idea of exit with an ironic viewpoint.
