Different Aspects of Same Things, 2023
Books, branches, fake leaves, mirrors
Different Aspects of Same Things consists of a series of books that are covered with mirror sheets inside, combined with branches and fake leaves. Having titles at the intersection of science and philosophy, the books create illusions, warp and change what is around them, in a similar way to how our perception re-shapes reality. The usage of branches introduces a natural and organic element, which contrasts with the man-made book. With the interactive observation of the audience, the mirrors lining the interior of the book introduce a circular form of the branch in the reflections, questioning how we perceive and understand the natural world. By effectively disguising the fake leaves, the work also addresses how we represent and interpret information, opening up space for new interpretations.
